Michael Thorman recently represented a client charged as one of six defendants in a gang-related shooting occurring in front of a public school in Union City, California. While in custody on the murder charge, the defendant participated in an assault on a rival gang member, an event that was recorded on camera in a holding cell.

Michael Thorman’s advocacy resulted in the dismissal of the murder charge. A court trial on the assault charge resulted in a partial acquittal and a state prison sentence of less than nine years.
